Visit Our Gallery in Savannah, Georgia

I'm still pinching myself that this is real. Just a few weeks ago, my friend Cat (a watercolor artist here in Savannah) and I officially opened our shared gallery space at the City Market Arts Center. What started as a "let's apply and see what happens" moment turned into the most beautifully intense few weeks.

We honestly didn't think this would happen so fast. Both of us figured we'd be on the waiting list for months, maybe even a year. But our application was accepted quickly, and suddenly we had this gorgeous space with incredible natural light, warm brick walls, and limitless character. The timing was challenging - we had just days between getting accepted and my planned solo road trip that I'd been looking forward to for months.

We signed our lease, grabbed our keys, and got to work. The days between unlocking the door for the first time and leaving town were a complete whirlwind. We managed to get enough moved in so Cat could start using the space as her painting studio and be open for any wanderers who might peek in. We did a lot of the initial planning, display ordering, and organizing via text while I was traveling, which wasn't ideal, but I was too excited about the possibilities to let it dampen my enthusiasm.

A few of my Studio Tumblers — These are a signature item, I always have a flurry available.

I've been dreaming of a space like this for so long - somewhere to invite people in, to engage with folks more regularly, and to show my full body of work the way it deserves to be seen. I was getting tired of my pieces being stacked in bins or rushed through busy market displays. I wanted to create an environment where people could really experience the beauty I put into each marbled scarf and hand-built ceramic piece.

Our gallery sits in a historic building that used to be a warehouse for grain or cotton - you can still see the giant industrial pulley by our entrance that tells part of that story. The floors are quintessentially Savannah: so beautifully uneven they literally ripple and wave, which has made setting up displays an interesting puzzle to solve. We're surrounded by other artist studios and galleries, and we're perfectly positioned near River Street and Broughton for both locals and visitors to discover us.

The giant pulley in our gallery and studio—We’re in a historic building in downtown Savannah filled with many quirks and all the charm.

This feels different from any retail experience I've had before. It doesn't feel like "selling" - it feels softer, sweeter, more authentic. People are coming through, shopping, chatting with us about our processes, and asking for our favorite Savannah recommendations. I can work on small pottery projects, handle business tasks, and connect with people throughout the day. As someone who typically works independently in my studio, having regular interaction with visitors and fellow artists has been incredibly energizing.

We've been softly open for a few weeks now, and I'm learning how to balance gallery time with my main studio work (which still happens in my longtime space in an old auto shop on the east side of town). There's still some work to do and a small build-out before we're fully settled, but the space is gorgeous and Cat and I are absolutely loving being here. We're so thankful for everyone who has come in so far - your support and enthusiasm mean everything to us.

Our hours are flexible as we figure out this new rhythm, but you can find us there at least four days a week from 11-ish to 4-ish. I always post our current schedule on my Instagram.

A cozy corner in the shop. Our windows look right out into City Market, we can see all the bustle down below from our little perch in the Arts Center.

Getting this gallery was a surprise, but it's telling me that all the work, all the betting on myself, all the following my instincts - it's been worth it. Come see us at City Market if you're in Savannah. I can't wait to show you what we've created. Find us at 312 W Julian Street Upper FNU-103, Savannah, GA 31401.
