Back to YouTube: A Day in Historic Savannah + Behind the Scenes at My City Market Gallery

At the beginning of this year, I declared myself a YouTube girlie. I posted two videos, learned a ton in the process, felt a little cringey but was amped to try again... And then? Life got hard and content creation took a back seat as I focused on staying afloat during tough times. But now, with fall settling into Savannah and my gallery thriving in the heart of downtown, I'm excited to start sharing more of my creative journey in this beautiful city.

I'll be the first to admit the audio isn't perfect - between gallery prep and everything else, I'm embracing "done is better than perfect" these days. But the vibes are there, and I think you'll enjoy this authentic slice of Savannah life. Join me for a morning stroll through historic downtown Savannah as I walk to work at my pottery and textile gallery in City Market.

Take a walk through Savannah and spend the day in my gallery. Visit me in City Market IRL at 312 W Saint Julian ST gallery 103 (upstairs!)

This short video captures one of my favorite parts of living and working in downtown Savannah - the daily walk through our famous historic squares to City Market Arts Center. You'll see our oak-lined streets, Spanish moss, and historic architecture that makes Savannah such a dreamy place to create and visit. We'll spend time in the gallery I share with watercolor artist Cat Johnston Floyd, and you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at my annual Boo Crew collection as I put the final touches on this year's ghosts. This has become my favorite whimsical fall tradition and I love that my customers look forward to it each year!

Opening this gallery space in City Market has been transformative and has me pushing myself professionally and creatively. Located in one of Savannah's most vibrant parts of downtown, we're surrounded by local artists, shops, and the buzzy energy of both locals and tourists. Whether you're a Savannah resident looking for locally-made art, or a tourist wanting to take home something truly special from your visit, I hope you'll come visit us!

See you ‘round Savannah,

Mia
