Bloom: Sculptural Flower Vessel
A new exploration in my studio practice, this one-of-a-kind vessel brings dimensional, hand-formed flowers to a rounded pedestal form. Each blossom was individually shaped and layered with multiple glazes, clustering together at the rim like a bouquet caught mid-bloom.
The body moves through soft blues into warm, earthy tones, with a golden glaze cascading down the pedestal base — a nod to the unpredictable beauty that happens when color and fire meet.
This piece marks a genuine departure in technique from my usual work, and it's the first in what I hope to become a new direction for me. One-of-a-kind, never to be repeated exactly this way.
Details:
6-8" tall x 6.5" opening
Hand-built stoneware with multiple glaze applications
Individually formed dimensional flower details
Fully functional as a vase or standalone sculptural piece
Hand built in Savannah, GA
