A Little Life Update
Hi friends - it's been a while since I've written here, and I wanted to check in. Life brought some big changes my way this year, personal shifts that took me away from the studio and this space for longer than I expected. I'm slowly finding my way back to my work, and it feels good to be here again.
I closed my production studio in December and moved my practice home, so these days I'm spending more time in my home studio, pushing into new glaze territory and letting color do things I haven't asked of it before. My obsession with texture isn't going anywhere, but something new is creeping in alongside it - more flowers, more softness, more surrender to what wants to grow.
I also took on a part-time job this year, and it's been a surprising kind of relief. Not needing my art to pay the bills has let me shift my whole relationship to making - I'm finding a softer, more organic flow to my creativity these days, without the pressure of it needing to be a business first.
I've been thinking a lot about the seeds we plant intentionally and the ones that find their way into the soil on their own. This year has handed me a lot of both, and I can feel it showing up in the work.

A peek at some of my latest work, a new direction
My home life looks a little different these days as well. My little dog pack grew by one this year, which has brought so much sweetness into all of it.
